Are you the best on your team? The best in your school? Do you make a difference when on the pitch? We are looking for talented youngsters for our county representative teams for the 2026/27 season. Please note:
◦ Players must be in full time education at a DfE registered institution within Warwickshire to be eligible to play for us.
◦ Players should think of this as similar to an International call up – making it onto the squad (approx. 22-26 players) is a huge achievement but this is not grassroots football, there is no guaranteed playing time.
◦ There may be a small cost to play representative football (approx. £25-£50), you will be notified if selected.
◦ As this is schools’ football, if you make it through to consideration for squad selection, your school will be contacted to confirm they have no concerns with you representing them.
◦ If you are currently signed with an academy please check their release policy for county matches before registering for county trials – it would be unfair to take a squad spot with us if your academy won’t actually let you play.
◦ County representation is a privilege and you will be expected to prioritise matches over school or club football / other sporting commitments.
◦ We play against other counties so you will be expected to travel – we can not provide transport. While you may be able to lift share with other players, this should not be assumed.
◦ The number of matches varies per team as it depends on which other counties sign up to the league, but it ranges from 6-10 matches over September to April. Matches are usually Monday, Tuesday or Wednesdays evenings with 7pm/ 7.30pm kick off. Players are expected to arrive an hour before kick off. Home matches are played at several venues depending on availability – Stratford Town, Bedworth Utd, Rugby Boro. and Southam Utd have been used in the past.
◦ Training is occasional and at the discretion of the team management. As the vast majority of selected players are training at a high level each week with their regular teams, our training sessions focus more on team bonding and stepping up to physical demands of county football. As a guide, most team managers hold a session before each match, the location of this will depend on where they can find a pitch for free/ discounted cost.
◦ Current county players that are eligible to play for us in the 2026/27 season still need to register and retrial.
◦ Due to the number of participants at each trial, individual feedback will not be given. Any requests for feedback will be ignored.
◦ Once trials are held and the strength of each potential squad is reviewed, we may decide not to proceed with some age groups – this is purely down to funding. It costs approx. £1,500 to run one team for a season and we are actively seeking sponsorship to ensure we can offer as many players as possible the chance to play representative football. If you could help sponsor a team, or know someone who can, please contact us.
